The Nation Group History

Vision, dedication and perseverance have guided The Nation Group since its inception.  Two successful insurance agencies were brought together in 2000 when Mike McDonald and Joan Rector merged Nation Insurance Agency and Nation Financial Services to create a full service, independent insurance agency offering Property & Casualty, Life & Health, Employee Benefits, Stock Brokerage and Medicare Supplements.

The Nation Group has grown through the years by establishing new offices and acquiring other reputable agencies:

1981 – Bruce Nation bought Crow Insurance in Belleview, FL to form Nation Insurance, Inc.

1992 – Mike McDonald purchased Nation Insurance, Inc.

1995 – Nation Financial Services, specializing in life and health benefits was formed as a sister company to The Nation Group

2000 – Nation Insurance and Nation Financial Services merged to form The Nation Group

2007 – The Nation Group acquired Janine McKinney Insurance

2010 – The Nation Group acquired Senior Insurance Services, a medicare supplement company
